Track after track of Jack Colleran’s musical landscapes have been pricking up our ears over the last few months so its about time we dedicated a post to him. Mmoths’ cinematic approach to music is undeniable and it makes you feel sorry for that orphan movie out there crying out for a stunning soundtrack like this. Summer is Mmoths’ latest musical offering and it brings with it a more song-structured approach than previous releases. The angelic vocals courtesy of Superhumanoids only help to further embellish this beautiful slice of summer. Is this how Cocteau Twins or Dead Can Dance might have sounded if they had formed in 2012? Well, not sure about that, but Mmoths’ music would fit perfectly in a record collection containing any of their albums, or all of them.
