MUCH LOVE FROM FRENCH AIRWAVES

Tuesday 19 March 2013

Once Upon A Time artists shook the French airwaves last week, while the music world was looking towards Austin:

Monday on Le Mouv’, French radio-show-host Nico Prat made As Elephants Are’s stellar ‘Lucifer’ his first ever single of the day during the premiere of his brand new show Popcorn.

On Tuesday, Crash & The Coots took the cherished spot over and made “the entire studio dance” with ‘Bottle Rhythm’ (watch the song’s video on Youtube).

On Wednesday, China Rats was third in a row with their blasting ‘Nip It In The Bud’. After a detour in Texas the band will be in Paris next week for a Kitsune Maison En Vrai show at La Maroquinerie alongside Australian band Jagwar Ma (Wednesday 27th March) and will be Popcorn’s special guests on Le Mouv’ the following day (Thursday 28th March).

A big thanks to Nico Prat and his team for making those three songs the first three single of the day of their great new show, and thanks to Vincent Theval from France Musique for playing ‘Nip It In The Bud’ on his Label Pop show last Monday.

As Elephants Are

Still in France, but in writing, As Elephants Are’s ‘Youth Blood’ was made ‘Song of the day’ on cult magazine Les Inrocks’ website on Thursday:

“ardent lyricism on a leash (…)

makes you equally want to jump in the air or crash on a bed”
